  • In the shadow of the cross there is life!

    The cross is the victory, the resurrection is the triumph…
    The resurrection is the public display of the victory, the triumph of the crucified One.

    The blood of Jesus Christ has great power!
    There is perhaps not a phrase in the Bible that is so full of secret truth as is “The blood of Jesus.”
    It is the secret of His incarnation, when Jesus took on flesh and blood;
    the secret of His obedience unto death, when He gave His life at the cross of Calvary;
    the secret of His love that went beyond all understanding when He bought us with His blood;
    the secret of the enemy and the secret of our eternal salvation.

    Thanks be to my Lord Jesus Christ
    For all the benefits which Thou hast given me;
    For all the pains and insults Thou hast borne for me.
    O most merciful Redeemer, Friend and Brother,
    May I know Thee more clearly;
    Love Thee more dearly;
    And follow Thee more nearly.
    Amen.

  • :sunny:Hello Deb,

    I loved your post for Resurrection Day……Jesus is alive…..Praise the Lord!

    Have a blessed week my friend…………:heartbeat:Linda:wave:

  • Oh! I forgot! Yep! He really does hate peas! With a passion! He says they go “pop” in your mouth, and he finds that unacceptable! LOL!

  • It was so nice to get up this morning and find your lovely comment! I love your comments! Yep! Danish is a hard language! It has four extra vowels to complicate things even further! LOL! At least most of the alphabet is the same. My youngest daughter and her husband are studying Russian, and that language has a completely different alphabet. *** It’s only 21 degrees this morning! WOW! Pretty nippy! Winter is finally here, and it’e almost April! The storm we had was snow and sleet. It is still on the ground, and the walkways are slippery. We have pretty good maintenance here at the apartment complex though. They throw sand everywhere on slippery days. No matter how much you wipe your feet and take off your shoes, somehow it comes into the house with you! *** For the fellowship dinner I made a pasta dish with chicken and sautee´d veggies with Parmesan. Most of it got eaten, so it must have been OK.  It was better warm, but there was way too much food to keep it all warm in the little church kitchen. *** Free Kirke means free church. Denmark has a State church which is Lutheran. It is the sanctioned church of Denmark, and even receives tax money from the government. The sad thing is that there are many big, beautiful churches that no one attends. Denmark considers itself a Christian nation, but only about 3% of the people attend church. Our church, because it is not affiliated with the government is called “free.” *** I’m sorry you didn’t get to talk to Ian. We didn’t get to talk to our oldest daughter, either, but we did manage to catch Abby and Craig before they left for the Bronx church they work with. Maybe you can catch Ian today. I know our young folks just get busy and time gets away from them. In a way, we have to be glad they are not pining away for their mommies and missing us too much. (At least that’s what I tell myself!!!) Blessings on your Monday.  :heartbeat:

  • Had a great day with church service and having the family here we only had 20 this year , sure missed our SC family not being here as i am sure that you missed your son, may God bless you and keep you in his care and help you through these times when your son can’t make it home, as he does for me with my daughter and family   also this post is a blessing have a great week,

  • We had an awesome service! I love celebrating the Savior!  We had so many visitors we were setting up extra chairs even out in the hallway! It was snowing and 30 degrees, but we had five people baptised OUTSIDE, and they came up out of that water rejoicing! Whew! What a day!  :sunny:

  • Deborah, Happy Resurrection Day today and everyday!

    In His love, Chanin

  • :sunny:Sweet Deborah! May you and Lewis have a Very Blessed Easter!…………..In Christ’s Love……Monic:heartbeat::love::heartbeat:

  • :love: :love: :wave:  :wave:

    Have a wonderful Easter……….

  • In just a few hours, we over here in Denmark will be gathered together in our little “Free Kirk” to praise and rejoice! Kun på grund af din nåde kan jeg ånde frit igen. Jeg synger af taknemlighed for Himlen er mit hjem. Just because of Your grace I can breathe again! I sing with thankfulness because Heaven is my home. Blessed Easter, my friend!

  • Have a blessed Resurrection Day

quote and verse

Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectation.
- Andrew Murray -

God often comes to us,
not in dramatic and the spectacular,
but in quiet, unexpected ways ...
In a still, small voice,
a gentle whisper,
God makes known His love.

In quietness and trust
is your strength.
Isaiah 30:15

Pleasure, possessions, power, and privilege are ultimately worthless in comparison to the indescribable
joy of knowing GOD!!

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5,6

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye.
Psalm 32:8
