    Vintage Children 2

The LORD thy God in the midst of thee [is] mighty; he will save,
    he will rejoice over thee with joy;
he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
    - Zephaniah 3:17 -

I can only imagine …… my Father God rejoicing over me — with joy!

    Saying Praise the Lord Blue

How incredible to know the Lord so delights in His children!
How wonderful to know that we, the people of His hand, are a pleasure to Him!
Rejoice in the Lord’s rejoicing in you!   Delight in the Lord’s delighting in you!
Exalt your God all you people and know that He is well-pleased to have you as His own!

    WOW!
We are a pleasure to Him!  He delights in us!
He is well pleased to have us as His own!!
    A Most Amazing Love!

Come, Lord Jesus, and abide in my heart.
How grateful I am to realize that the answer to my prayer does not depend on me at all.
As I quietly abide in You and let Your life flow into me,
what freedom it is to know that the Father does not see my threadbare patience or insufficient trust,
rather only Your patience, Lord, and Your confidence that the Father has everything in hand.
In Your faith I thank You right now for a more glorious answer to my prayer than I can imagine.
    Amen.

  • “in the midst of thee” I love that!  Thank you for sharing!  I hope you’re having a great week!:sunny:

  • Hope your week is going well so far.  Have anything planned for the 4th?  My husband and I will be doing something with his parents.  Just don’t know, yet.  :sunny:

  • Beautiful post! Love the new layout.

  • Beautiful — I wonder sometimes how God can find pleasure in looking at me — I am encouraged by this post and by Danishdoll’s comment — thinking about how I can take pleasure in my sons — Wow, if God sees me with even a smidgeon of that love! :sunny:

  •

I love the “feel” of your site right now…..wish I lived near a beach.

Been thinking of you.  Hope you have a great Tuesday.  Happy July! :p

  • If our human joy is only a smidgen of the joy God feels for us when we endeavor to seek His face and do right, I can only imagine it. And to think God feels joy over me, little ol’ me. That’s just amazing to think about.

  • Were we to remember 24-7 that the Lord Himself is in our midst, I think some things would be different. Would we talk to Him more often? Would we worry as much?

According to these verses there is strength and power with Him in our midst!

  • :sunny:Good Morning Sweet Deborah! Amen!……….Love the fact of pleasing Our Father!……..How it is an amazing love that soothes my soul!……..Hope you have a Terrific Tuesday!……..Had the best night sleep ever!………Could of been because I was really tired so we will see tonight!……..Have a Terrific Tuesday!………In Christ’s Love……..Monic:heartbeat::love::heartbeat:

  • Such wonderful thoughts! I think having my own children helped me to understand more about God’s rejoicing over me. I know there have been so many times when just watching my kids play brought me joy. Having them snuggle up next to me for a story was delightful. I like to think some of that is how God feels. :)   ~~ Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday dear friend. I have lots to do and I am in a bit of a rush, so I can’t be as wordy as I would like!

quote and verse

Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectation.
- Andrew Murray -

God often comes to us,
not in dramatic and the spectacular,
but in quiet, unexpected ways ...
In a still, small voice,
a gentle whisper,
God makes known His love.

In quietness and trust
is your strength.
Isaiah 30:15

Pleasure, possessions, power, and privilege are ultimately worthless in comparison to the indescribable
joy of knowing GOD!!

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5,6

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye.
Psalm 32:8
