Sig Tag FAll in Love with Jesus

Good morning, everyone!   It’s a cold, rainy, beautiful , fall day!!  I love days like this…the leaves are wet on the ground, the smell of fall in the air, and it’s a great time to have a hot cup of cocoa, and I prefer whipped cream over marshmallows!  It’s also a good day to make a big pot of spicy chili!  My guys love it!  So that’s what’s cookin’ here in our home!  Just got some real good apples at our local orchard, and I’m thinkin’ about a hot, double crust, bubbly, apple pie…or maybe even an apple crisp!  Anyone hungry yet?!

    WinterHotChocolateMugs2[1]

We’ve started on a new journey, and  are taking a basic training course called, “The Way of the Master”, and below you will find one of the many tracts that can help you share your faith with others.  We know that Jesus said to go into all the world and share the Gospel…to seek and save the lost, but sometimes we just don’t always know how to approach a person, what to say, or we might be apprehensive, or fearful of how others will respond to us,whether it be a friend, a family member, or a complete stranger.

This course is one sure way of being encouraged, and looking beyond our selves, to the heart, life, and eternal fate of that person who may not know the Lord, or who may be hurting, or searching for the Truth.
He gave us a command, and we should be living it daily!

    Stamp Matt 10 37

I wanted to share this tract here on my blog, and just maybe someone will happen upon it…someone who may not know the Lord…someone who may be hurting, or searching for the truth, and maybe they’ll begin to think seriously about their life!

If anyone is interested in this course, check out
    www.wayofthemaster.com ,
or for the many tracts that you can order, visit

Smilie ReadingThe book I’m currently reading is a real eye opener to the eternal fate of many!  Once you’ve read it, you begin to reexamine your own walk.  You begin to look at eternity, and people so differently!   You yearn to share the Gospel with people….to seek and save the lost!  I highly recommend this read!  I will warn you, it’s not for the faint of heart, but it will encourage you to share the Way, the Truth, and the Life, with others!

Hi & Blessings to Y’all!! Animated Bear Blowing A Leaf

I know it’s been awhile, but we’ve been busy with our fall craft shows, and just our everyday life!  We also were visited by the flu bug, which slowed us down, so lots of vitamins and minerals were being used here, and we’re pretty much back to good health again.  I haven’t been sick in awhile, and I attribute that to Olive Leaf Extract, Grape Seed Extract, and Ester-C.  This particular form of Vitamin C stays in your system a full 24 hours, so if you’re taking it consistantly, you will always have that added defense against illness.  It’s kept me healthy for over 2 years…but unfortunately, that flu bug came home with my son, and apparently my resistance was a bit down, but I’ve found that the herbs and vitamins will shorten the duration of the illness.  As you can tell, I’m into nutritional healing, and have treated my family naturally for over 20 years now.  I believe in being pro-active in preventing illness as we grow older.  God gave us every herb bearing seed in the garden, and His wisdom to use them, and I believe this has kept us pretty healthy through the years!  I know that this is still no excuse for not keeping this blog up to date!  They say that if you do something for 30 days, it will become a habit……I’m slowly getting used to doing this, so it will probably take at least 30 days for me!!

Blinkie Blog Blogging is good for the soul

Hope you are all doing well out there in “Blogville”.  I’m lovin’ reading all the blogs of those I know out there…and the new friends I’m making, as well.  I’ve been on the computer since about 2000, and this is the first time I’ve had something that resembles a web site.  I’d love to have one of those soon, to sell my soap and candles, and to share my faith, but I don’t know the first thing about starting one!  I’m also wanting to learn to use e-Bay just to sell some homeschool books, and other things around here I need to purge our home of….so much to learn and do, so little time!!

Well, I hope you’re all enjoying these beautiful fall days!!  They say rain tomorrow, which may take some more of the leaves off the trees, but alas, all God’s seasons must come to their end!!  I have some thoughts on “the most wonderful time of the year”…and I’m sorry, I don’t mean Christmas…but it is a wonderful life!!  I really never did like the colors red and green together!!  I much prefer the red, gold, rust, green, and yellow against a clear blue backdrop, during the fall season!  Read on and if you can add any of your thoughts or memories to mine, I’d love to hear them!!

    Fall Indian Corn

Aaaah, a most welcome change from the hot, humid, summer days
to the cool, crisp, autumn air….
hayrides, straw hats, and crisp apples….
bib overalls, flannel shirts, and big, warm, comfy sweaters….

the smell in the air of people warming their homes with firewood….
a day of raking, and the smell of late afternoon burning leaves….
the harvest moon shining big and bright….
relaxing around a warm crackling bonfire with cups of hot steaming cocoa….
no worries here, but don’t forget the whipped cream!

Driving down a country road, beholding an array of autumn colors against
God’s backdrop of a clear, deep, blue sky….
Crisp autumn leaves giving up their hold, gently falling, and playing in the wind!
It is my favorite time of year!!

    It’s a special month to me…
My husband and I were married October 29th, 24 years ago….
it was a beautiful fall crisp day….
we had a regular old fashioned pitch-in…..
the food was down home good, and simply delicious!!
We had carrot cake, and apple cider…..
the traditional white cake and punch just didn’t seem to fit here!!

We wanted a horse and buggy to announce our union…instead of a car, string, and cans!!!
    We just got the car….
but at least we had a horn!!
    It was a good day……

If anyone wants to add their Autumn memories,
    or share a special thought,
I’d love to hear from you!

Well, moving on….for the movie reveiw of the year….
we don’t go very often….not much to see out there that’s worth our time or money!
We did go to see “One Night With the King”.
It was pretty close to the Biblical account of Hadassah/Esther.
I know that the writer-evangelist, Tommy Tenney, has a book out called Hadassah ….
has anyone read that one?  T
hat’s what the movie is supposedly based on.
I’d be curious if anyone has read the book, then went see to the movie….how close is it?
Being honest, it didn’t stick with me after we left, at least not like I thought it would,
after all the publicity leading up to it.  My son enjoyed it.
My husband found a few discrepancies with it in relation to the Biblical account.
….is there any Biblical based movie that truly follows scripture????…..
(I believe the “Jesus” movie does, now that I think about it)….
but all in all, I believe it was worth the see!
Beautiful costumes, and filmed on site in grand castles!
“For such a time as this…” who knows whose heart this movie will touch!!!

    ><><><><><><><><

Well, I’ll keep the rest for another day….SOON!!
In the meantime, I encourage you all to think on,
and thank Him for your daily blessings!
    For our blessings are many!!
Have a happy and blessed Fall!!

  • ~ A Place of Safety ~

    Bar Lavender Garden

Hope you’re all doing well!  Life has been busy for me of late.  I sell handmade soap at craft fairs, and it’s the busy season, but I’ll be back more often to update you on my daily happenings!  I think I’m getting the hang of this “blogging” thing!!  I’ve been spending a lot of time in the Word, and growing closer to the Lord.  He’s been nudging   me to just sit at His feet and learn from Him!  There is so much life in the Word…I encourage you all to spend time reading and yearning, listening, and learning…there is nothing like dwelling in that secret place of the most High, and abiding under the shadow of the Almighty!!  It is a safe place…a refuge and fortress against any circumstance in our lives!. It’s been very rich, and I look forward to each day in His presence!

Many things are going on, and this world is becoming very turbulent, but, just know, there is ONE who is in control of all things!  This Psalm ( my favorite ) has helped me through many things in my life, and I know it will help all, who believe, through the days ahead.  He is our strong high tower….our place of safety!!  Trust in Him to do as His Word says!  His word is truth, and life, to us all!

     PSALM 91

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress:
my God; in him will I trust.

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler,
    and from the noisome pestilence.

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust:
his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

    Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night;
    nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

    Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness;
nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

A thousand shall fall at thy side,
    and ten thousand at thy right hand;
but it shall not come nigh thee.

Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold
and see the reward of the wicked.

Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge,
    even the most High, thy habitation;

There shall no evil befall thee,
neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

For he shall give his angels charge over thee,
to keep thee in all thy ways.

They shall bear thee up in their hands,
lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder:
the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him:
I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him:
I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

    (Psalm 91, KJV)

quote and verse

Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectation.
- Andrew Murray -

God often comes to us,
not in dramatic and the spectacular,
but in quiet, unexpected ways ...
In a still, small voice,
a gentle whisper,
God makes known His love.

In quietness and trust
is your strength.
Isaiah 30:15

Pleasure, possessions, power, and privilege are ultimately worthless in comparison to the indescribable
joy of knowing GOD!!

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5,6

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye.
Psalm 32:8
