    –Encouraging Words For Women

    Are you in the middle of a battle zone right now with the bullets flying everywhere?
    Or is this a dry period in your life when absolutely nothing seems to be happening?
    In life we experience both kinds of situations.

    The Bible says God is sufficient for both –
    for intense problems and for total barrenness.

    Tag heart ”Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
    whose confidence is in Him.
    He will be like a tree planted by the water …
    It does not fear when heat comes …
    It has no worries in a year of drought.”
    {Jeremiah 17:7-8}

    There it is — two different types of circumstances: heat and drought.
    Heat speaks of intense trials.  During those times you struggle as you are attacked with problems that come at you, one after another.  You wonder if life will ever settle down again.  No sooner do you catch your breath from one crisis than another hits you.  On the other hand, drought symbolizes those dry times when you feel like nothing—not anything, zero, nil, zilch—is taking place in your life.  And no one seems to care.  Either way, if the roots of your confidence go deep into God, you will find that He is sufficient.

    Where is your confidence and trust?  Be honest.  Is it in yourself?  In fate?  Or in God?  Do your roots go down deep enough to draw from the River of Life?  Or are you just hoping for a few sprinkles from Heaven?  Jesus said,
    “To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.”  {Revelation 21:6}

    Right now, whether you are experiencing severe heat or the barrenness of drought, drink deeply of the water of life that really satisfies.  Don’t live in a state of spiritual dehydration.  Let your roots go down into the resources of God.  Paul summed it up by urging,

    Tag heart ”So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as LORD,
    continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him,
    strengthened in the faith.”   {Colossians 2:6-7}

    So, don’t give up.  The Water of Life still flows to refresh you and strengthen you.  Remember that God says, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in Him.  He will be like a tree planted by the water …”  Rooted in Him, we have all that we need to withstand both heat and drought!

    and encourage your FAITH as you watch it!

    You all have a blessed weekend!
    Dig down deep, get rooted, and drink from the River of Life!

    With the recent death of my FIL, it has been so hard on us all.  He is in the sweet arms of Jesus now.  That in itself is a great comfort.  We who remain, must, must rely on Jesus for our very breath…..there is no other way….

    Be Blessed

  • I remember one particular time of my life when I was in the “heat” when I just cried out to God that if He was trying to teach me something to just hurry up and teach it already. I smile as I think about that now. Maybe, just maybe, some of what God was trying to teach was patience… and to wait for His timing.

    Wonderful words. Thank you for sharing them today.

  • :sunny:Hope you all have a Wonderful weekend! Cool Pic of the Giraffs!…………..In Christ’s Love……Monic:heartbeat::wave:

quote and verse

Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectation.
- Andrew Murray -

God often comes to us,
not in dramatic and the spectacular,
but in quiet, unexpected ways ...
In a still, small voice,
a gentle whisper,
God makes known His love.

In quietness and trust
is your strength.
Isaiah 30:15

Pleasure, possessions, power, and privilege are ultimately worthless in comparison to the indescribable
joy of knowing GOD!!

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5,6

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye.
Psalm 32:8
