    “The LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the LORD God of Israel,
    under whose wings you have come for refuge.”
    {Ruth 2:12

    God uses the term “wings” to help us understand more fully what it means to have His presence throughout our day,
    and His covering over us moment by moment.  The Bible speaks about the wings of a mother hen, the wings of an eagle, and the wings (or fringes) of a garment, and applies them to the ways God is working in our lives and watching over us.  God’s wings apply to His care, His protection, His health for us, His safety, and His strength.

    Tiny Tag Rose White As your covering:
    God’s wings shield you and cast a shadow over you.
    His shadow is like the welcomed relief provided by a shade tree on a hot summer’s day.
    God’s wings shade you from the damaging rays of adversity and from the heat of every trial and calamity.

    Tiny Tag Dk Pink Rose As an expression of His care:
    God’s wings draw you close to His heart.
    In his care He knows your every movement,
    senses your every need,
    hears your every cry,
    and feels your everyheartbeat.

    Tiny Tag Rose White As an expression of His protection:
    God’s wings shield you from the searching eye of every prey
    that seeks to devour or destroy you.
    He is your protector against every scheme of the enemy,
    against every life and deception, against every luring temptation,
    and against every enticement that would try to move you away from His heart.

    Tiny Tag Dk Pink Rose As an expression of His health:
    God’s wings are an extension of His tender compassion.
    His purpose is to keep you healthy and strong, well fed and nurtured,vibrant and full of life.
    When you are weak or ill, He wraps his wings around you as a mother would wrap her child in a blanket.
    He assures you of His love, draws you close, keeps you warm, feeds you with the food of His faithfulness,
    renews your vitality, and causes you to grow strong.
    “But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings,” says Malachi 4:2

    Tiny Tag Rose White As an expression of His strength:
    God’s wings carry you to new heights, to new adventures of faith, to new discoveries of His majesty,
    and to new vistas of grace that your heart can explore and delight in.

    Today you are under God’s extreme watch-care.
    He you to draw near and trust fully in the covering of His wings.
    You are the LORD’s delight and the apple of His eye.
    Today is your best day because you life couldn’t be in better hands or under better care!
    We need to trust in the shadow of His wings!

    Dear LORD,
    I thank you that I am under your ever watchful care.
    Thank you for hiding me under the shadow of Your wings.
    For it is there, under Your covering, that I find …
    Your care,
    Your protection,
    Your health for me … both physical and spiritual,
    and Your strength!
    I praise You, and I recognize that every good thing I have
    has been given to my by You as a sign of Your goodness,
    mercy, and love. { James 1:17}
    Thank you for being my Provider, my Protector, and above all my Father!

    “…they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.”
    {Psalm 34:10 KJV}

    The Psalms
    ~ 91 ~

    He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
    shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

    I will say of the LORD, [He is] my refuge and my fortress:
    my God; in him will I trust.

    Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler,
    [and] from the noisome pestilence.

    He shall cover thee with his feathers,
    and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler.

    Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night;
    [nor] for the arrow [that] flieth by day;

    [Nor] for the pestilence [that] walketh in darkness;
    [nor] for the destruction [that] wasteth at noonday.

    A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand;
    [but] it shall not come nigh thee.

    Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold
    and see the reward of the wicked.

    Because thou hast made the LORD, [which is] my refuge,
    [even] the most High, thy habitation;

    There shall no evil befall thee,
    neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

    For he shall give his angels charge over thee,
    to keep thee in all thy ways.

    They shall bear thee up in [their] hands,
    lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

    Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder:
    the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

    Because he hath set his love upon me,
    therefore will I deliver him:
    I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

    He shall call upon me, and I will answer him:
    I [will be] with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

    With long life will I satisfy him,
    and shew him my salvation.

    blinkie have a blessed day

  • Thanks for your sweet words.

    How interesting that you sell soaps.
    There was an arts and crafts festival last weekend, and folks had
    homemade soaps, lotions, etc…
    pretty quilts, too.
    I am not talented in making things like that.

    I don’t think I have any soap graphics.. I’ll look through what I have, though.
    I have seen some cute country crafts sites on the internet though..
    if I remember any, I’ll pass along the links to you.

    Hugs,
    Becca

  • Hi Deborah.  For some reason I am not getting notified when you make a new post, so I’ve been missing some along the way!   Regarding eagles…….I recently heard that when an eagle senses a storm coming, he sits snug in his nest until the storm actually hits and then he soars above the storm until he can see the sun and there he stays until it is safe to go back to his nest.    When  a storm-of-life hits us, we will be safe if we stay in sight of The Son.

  • :sunny:Awesome as usual!!

    RTC: of  course you made TOP TEN! ha!

    Have a great weekend!

    Hugs, Connie

  • Hello my friend! Yeah, I stopped by yesterday but then this pop up (even today) keeps coming up wanting to do something with the Real Player and I have to keep clicking on cancel. I have no idea what it is, but I’m not interested, so the other day when I showed up I clicked cancelled and went back to my site. :giggle: I’m glad you feel the same way I do about the heat and constantly just want to stay cold and indoors..haha! I would take the windblown hair look anyday instead of walking outside and feeling like an egg in a frying pan! It’s the worst when your glasses steam up too! :laugh: I hope you are having a fantastic week and of course staying cool and I’ll ttys!

  • God’s Wings.. WOW.. I feel like that was me.. as a little girl. God is so good!

  • My camera is a Panasonic DMC-TZ1 with 10x optical zoom (which I constantly use).  It is a very small camera ~ that was one thing necessary for me, so that I could carry it in my purse.  I am still amazed at the photos it produces ~ it has a lot of settings to experiment with ~ thank you for your kind comments.  Your music on here is lovely ~ blessings on your day ~

  • Happy Thursday! :sunny: Today is a “home day” and I am just relaxing. Ahhhh….. Last night I was treated to a Casting Crowns concert! I am just so glad they came all the way over to Denmark, and my friends invited me to go with them. Their music is so anointed! We had GREAT seats, and we really enjoyed the evening. Pray you are finding strength and grace for your day. :heartbeat:

  • Hi Deborah!!! :wave:

    Another GREAT post!! :goodjob:

    ryc: it will be nice to have part of the basement finished.  We have a small house (love :heartbeat: grows best in little houses :love:)  It will be nice to have more room though….especially a place to have for company and birthday parties.  With the pool table we should have a lot of fun family times!!  Looking forward to it!  We got our pool table from the fire department Doug used to be apart of when he was younger.  Most of his family is still involved with it and our Brother-in-law is chief anyway!  got side-tracked there lol he had a lot of good memories playing pool with his buddies and when they were putting it up for bid we put in a bid an won!  At the time we were staying with my parents while our house was being built and we set it up in their house.  We had a lot of fun playing with my dad while we were there.  Since then it’s just been sitting in our basement holding things lol.  A lot of hard work but I know it will be worth it.

    I will say a prayer that you can find the right house!!  Happy house hunting~ It can be exciting :sunny:

    Have a blessed day!

    Theresa :wave:

  • :sunny:Good Morning!………….Hope you have a Wonderful Wednesday!………..In Christ’s Love……Monic:heartbeat::love::heartbeat:

  • Thanks for sharing this.

  • It is such a comfort to have the shelter of His wings! I remember reading a story once of a farmer on the prairie where there had been a fire. He walked across the field checking out the damage, and happened upon the poor, burned carcass of a chicken. He gave it a nudge with the toe of his boot, and six little chicks came hopping out from under the mother’s body! The mother chicken had sacrificed herself to shelter them from the flames. We are so blessed to be under the shadow of the Almighty! :sunny:

  • :wave:
    Thank you Deborah for your encouraging posts…they encourage me and I have been sharing them with others in hopes of bringing them encouragement as well.

quote and verse

Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectation.
- Andrew Murray -

God often comes to us,
not in dramatic and the spectacular,
but in quiet, unexpected ways ...
In a still, small voice,
a gentle whisper,
God makes known His love.

In quietness and trust
is your strength.
Isaiah 30:15

Pleasure, possessions, power, and privilege are ultimately worthless in comparison to the indescribable
joy of knowing GOD!!

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5,6

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye.
Psalm 32:8
