I hope you’re all having a great week! I want to thank those of you who have come by and left your sweet comments. I’ve had quite a busy week…my son is coming home, if everything works out, this Friday! I’ll let you know closer to the time if all works out, then I’ll ask for your prayers for safe travels! It’ll be so good to see him!! I haven’t been on here alot this week, since we are trying to get things ready for him, but I will be catching up with all of you as soon as I can! You know, missing even one day around here, well, you miss alot! Also, another reason I haven’t been on much is that I’ve had a health issue come up this week that has concerned us, and I’ll be going to the doctor this coming Monday to have some tests run. I would so appreciate your prayers!! Once I find out just what might be causing this problem, I’ll fill you all in!
I pray you all have a
!!! We may get some storms here, but I’m hoping it clears out for the evening fireworks! As I said before, I will get around to see some, and hopefully all of you, today! I know the rest of the week I’ll be cleaning, and getting things ready to leave town for my nephew’s wedding this weekend. Ian and Tim are helping to film it, and I’m going to be doing some of the still photography…pray for me, I’m just getting to know my camera!! Sunday we’ll be resting here, enjoying our son being home with us, as long as he makes it! Then Monday….to the doc! So as you see, it’s going to be a bit hectic for me here, but please, please know that you’re all in my thoughts and prayers, and as I’ve said before, your friendship and prayers are such a great comfort to me! So, I’ll see you all soon! Be blessed, and walk in the joy of His precious presence!

Love & Hugs!!

Jesus on the 4th of July
We gather ‘round to celebrate
On Independence Day
Pay homage to our country
As the children run and play.
With barbecues and picnics
And fireworks in the air
The flag we own is proudly flown
To show how much we care.
The stars and stripes spell freedom
She waves upon the breeze
While bursts of colors can be seen
Above the towering trees.
This is all quite wonderful
We revel in delight
But God above in divine love
Has brought this day to light.
With just a stroke of liberty
A touch of His great hand
He gave democracy to us
And helped this country stand.
The stripes upon our stately flag
Were touched by His sweet grace
Each star of white that shines so bright
Reflects His loving face.
So as you turn to face the flag
For battles that were fought
Be filled with pride for those who died
And freedoms that were bought.
But don’t forget to thank the One
That gives the bright display
The reason why we paint the sky
On Independence Day

Happy Independence Day!

I pray you’ve all had a great week! It’s been pretty quiet for us this week here at home, except we did get a call from our son…he lost his glasses yesterday…in the ocean!! Talk about looking for a needle in the haystack! So he had to use a good chunk of his money to get a new pair, which may cause a delay in their trip home for a visit! I’m so glad he’s all right though! He’s not the best swimmer, and almost drowned about 3 years ago while kayaking when all his friends, and their dads went. The day before, it had rained pretty hard so the river was swift, and high. They really shouldn’t have allowed anyone out when it was that high and fast! It’s a rental place for canoes and kayaks. I get nervous everytime I think about how he explained that it happened! He lost his glasses then, and they had to be replaced! Well, he didn’t say much about how yesterday’s mishap took place … maybe to save me from concern, especially after last time … but I’m just thanking God that He watched over, and protected him! Oh my, am I so very thankful! Here are a couple of pictures of him in both his old glasses, and the new ones he got yesterday! His caption under the new picture when I received it from him was, “Are these geeky enough for ya??” My reply, ” Alive and geeky is good thing”! I love you, Sweetie! I threw this first one in for obvious reasons!
