  • MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!

    Animated Christmas scene

Merry CHRISTmas to you all!  Praying you are having a most blessed Christmas week!  It doesn’t look much like
the season around here, and, I know it’s been awhile, but my goal is to get back here much more often, after the
first of the year!  I do hope this finds you all well!  We’ve had a busy season, which is slowing up a bit, now.
We were looking forward to Ian coming home on the 27th, but his work load increased,
and he is unable to make it at that time.  We were looking forward to having him here for a week.
We’re hoping for mid-January, but even that looks doubtful.
So, for now, we will enjoy spending time with both sides of our family, here, for the holidays.

This morning, Christmas, we’re going to cook up a nice breakfast for the two of us …
french toast sounds nice … then, we’ll get ready to go to my brother’s family for dinner this afternoon.
I haven’t seen some of their family for over a year, so I’m looking forward to that!
Even baked up a ton of pumpkin bread to share with them all, like I did in years past!
Tomorrow, Saturday, we will be picking up a last minute gift for our Christmas exchange and dinner,
on Sunday after church, at my sister-in-laws, with Mom Betty and O.P. …
we’re all so very happy to have them both with us for another Christmas!

Our weekend is full, and we are truly blessed, as I hope you are, as well!  I pray you all have a wonderful and most
blessed Christmas day!  Here is a video I stumbled upon tonight looking for Christmas music …
I have never heard this song before, but it deeply touched my heart … I wanted to share it with you!
First, please scroll to the bottom of this page and pause the music on my playlist …
this song in the video, is so meaningful!  This baby changed everything!!

     Merry Christmas, my friends!

  • :sunny: :heartbeat:Hello Sweet Deborah! Yes this is Monica. I opened a new Xanga . I have missed writing and it is not enough on FB. But I will have that as well. Just so you know who this is! (((((hugs))))) In christ’s Love :heartbeat:

  • WOW! That was quite a song, and the video made it so powerful! Abby and I watched that version of the Christmas story in N. Ireland while we wrapped gifts. You know what I was thinking as I watched this? I was just awed and filled with joy that I AM A PART OF IT ALL! All that sacrifice. All that suffering. For ME! How can we not be humbly grateful?

I am so sorry Ian is not able to come. I know how much you were looking forward to that. I hope another time can be arranged. I too, know that feeling of longing to see him, hold him, look into his face as he talks. I think the distance is especially hard on mommas. Even though, by phone I am in close contact with my girls, it is not the same as BEING WITH them.

I pray you and Lewis are doing well. Blessings to you both!
    Love,
    Mae

  • Hi Deborah, so sweet of you to come by my art journal. Thank you! I think you are very talented. you take beaautiful photos. That is something I cannot do. Say don’t you have a xanga site where you show your photos or a blog? If you do tell me. I am really struggling with finding the time to work on painting again. I cannot do it at night as I have to have natural light. Between church, bible study, and family and a few friends it is hard to find time. But I am working on it.

    God bless!! :heartbeat: Sharon

  • Wow! That video gave me goosebumps, Deborah! Thanks for sharing it! I will need to share that video, too. We enjoyed our family being with us for Christmas Eve, and have since had a fairly quiet time… except for our date that I think you already know about from FB. I’m so sorry that Ian is possibly not even going to be coming in January. I hope and pray that it won’t be very much longer before he makes it home.
I’m blessed having you in my life… and I hope that this year I can do better with getting on Xanga to blog. It is in many ways a deeper type of contact than FB, as it takes time to read, listen, contemplate, pray, & then write the blogs and the comments.

May God richly bless you and your husband in this new year… HUGS!! Carolyn :heartbeat:

  • Looks as if you had a wonderful Christmas Deborah…other than not getting the much anticipated visit from Ian :( .  I do pray he is able to come see you in January.  We had a wonderful holiday.  Christmas Eve we had a wonderful dinner with Paul’s parents and sister.  We then went to Paul’s brother’s family for Christmas dinner.  Paul and I exchanged gifts Christmas morning and we had delicious coffee while we opened our gifts.  We had fun Saturday too…bowling with friends.  Today we watched the Miami Dolphin’s game at our friend’s home and enjoyed yummy dips, crackers, etc. After the game we all went bowling!  It was a full Christmas weekend and I was very blessed.  Have a wonderful week and HAPPY, HEALTHY NEW YEAR!  See you on Facebook.  Blessings, Jill

quote and verse

Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectation.
- Andrew Murray -

God often comes to us,
not in dramatic and the spectacular,
but in quiet, unexpected ways ...
In a still, small voice,
a gentle whisper,
God makes known His love.

In quietness and trust
is your strength.
Isaiah 30:15

Pleasure, possessions, power, and privilege are ultimately worthless in comparison to the indescribable
joy of knowing GOD!!

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5,6

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye.
Psalm 32:8
