    But I must confess that there are days when my circumstances don’t seem to lend themselves to worship. Days when I feel so caught up in my own problems or so pulled down by my own depression that entering into worship would almost feel hypocritical.  What am I to do on those days? – On those days I am to worship anyway!  I am to bring the Lord what the Bible calls ‘sacrificial praise’:  ‘So through Jesus let us always offer to God our sacrifice of praise, coming from lips that speak His name.’  (Hebrews 13:15) ~ Claire Cloninger

  • I have to admit that there are times that I just don’t “feel” like doing anything; especially praising Him.  But then I realize that those are the times when I NEED to praise Him the most!  It’s about dieing to SELF!  It’s about putting the flesh down and giving Him everything I have; even when I don’t feel like it!

    What I don’t think about sometimes, during these times in my life, is that He already knows how I feel!  He already knows my thoughts and feelings!  He already knows that I feel rotten and I don’t feel like coming to Him.  I’m not “right” enough to be in His presence.  But yet….He welcomes me every single time….”Right” or “not”!! :)   :heartbeat:

    We serve an awesome God!

    It is hard to worship in all things at all times but what a blessing to us the Lord has given us in this.

    my brother is in from Tenn with his fiance, dogs and an unruly daughter…i haven’t had computer access since my computer is in the basement and that’s where he’s staying during his stay here…i fixed my sons computer this morning cuz i just had to get online to visit with my xanga friends LOL  I HAVE MISSED y’all!!!

  • Amen! My dad (a pastor) often says that… worship is not about the emotion… what it makes us feel like… it’s about glorifying the Lord. It’s not about us… it’s about HIM!

  • I kept thinking I would stop listening to this partway through because of time, but couldn’t tear myself away ~ great words in that clip ~ humbling ~

  • That is so true. We worship even when we do not feel like it. Feelings are not very trustworthy. So many times when I have not really wanted to go to a Bible study, but did anyway I was richly blessed. Some song was sung or some scripture was read that ministered to me in just the right way!

    Yep.. never trust feelings.
