  • I am glad you had a blessed CHRISTMAS……

  • OK, you made me laugh and cry within the same paragraph  thank you for the “flight” encouragement and I don’t know about your house, but my boys can play a great arm pit along with a few other musical body parts, that I don’t want to comment on.
Sounds sappy, but I get emotional this time of the year and this year along with tears of sadness, God has given me tears of happiness and new friendships.
I’ll check out the music site. I have an “imeem” and I can often find lots of music, but sometimes it won’t play the whole song. I also have a facebook under Deanna Lockman. I don’t go there too much either. I also have a myspace and so does Dan, so we communicate on there, but he is the only one who does. I can’t personalize the “myspace” like I can on xanga. I wanted to keep it Christmas on my xanga, but I was so excited about thinking of my future adventures with Dan, that I had to re-layout with the balloons. I usually put them up for Derby time.
Our Phantom tickets are for January 27th. I know we will all have a great time together. And  we all do need together and have a dinner date, do you all set up at the Louisville Flea market? Are you all still moving? Dan works at Carmax and his weekends are few and far between.
Isn’t God wonderful? I am so glad we have become friends this year. As we get older the true gifts are of family and friends that mean the most. Tell Lew hello and give him a big hug from me.
    Love to you, Deanna

  • RYC: I often cry when I talk to my kids. I never did get to talk with my oldest for Christmas day. I am  sure she was with her in-laws and unable to call. I did call my youngest and she was just getting ready to sit down to dinner, so she couldn’t talk long. She was distracted and it was not a very rewarding conversation. Yep. I cried when I hung up. I was feeling pretty nostalgic last night, and I have to watch that because then I get so sad. My children are adults with busy lives of their own, and that’s a good thing! How awful it would be if they were pining away for their momma, right? I am so happy that we will be leaving January 10th for the States, and I will get to spend time with them!   Thanks so much for your caring comments.  Oh! And you have GOT to try macadamia nuts sometime! LOL!

  • :sunny:Just beautiful here! I am feeling so much better.
The pain is almost no more…very little if any. That alone
was worth the surgery. The hormonal part is slowly working
itself out. I am so ready to do more but know I must not for
at least 2 more weeks…this time is slowly passing by…UGH!

Christmas eve was so nice we spent it at my sisters house and
everyone had a real good time. All of the family was there. Then
today was spent with my family & Bob’s brother came for dinner.
We have been so blessed. The weather here is rainy & 39. We
had sleet here for about an hour and then it turned to cold & rainy.
Not complaining though I know we need the rain. & am very thankful
that we don’t have the real bad weather here. Although it would have
been nice to see a few inches of snow today…oh well!

Have a blessed Christmas evening and hope your next Saturday gathering
    will be a blessing.

    HuGs….Linda

quote and verse

Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectation.
- Andrew Murray -

God often comes to us,
not in dramatic and the spectacular,
but in quiet, unexpected ways ...
In a still, small voice,
a gentle whisper,
God makes known His love.

In quietness and trust
is your strength.
Isaiah 30:15

Pleasure, possessions, power, and privilege are ultimately worthless in comparison to the indescribable
joy of knowing GOD!!

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5,6

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye.
Psalm 32:8
