  • ~ For the Love of Elizabeth

    Tim & Elizabeth's Hands 8-12-08 IMG_7363 rs

I want to share a poem that was borne from a time of trial and illness…
it is a poem of enduring trust & faith that has become quite evident
in our dear little friend, Miss Elizabeth!
For those of you who are familiar with her story …
for those who have been on this journey with us …
and, for those who have and are continuing to pray for her healing
    … thank you!
    This poem is for you!

~ God Is Always There ~

No one ever sought the Father
And found He was not there,
And no burden is too heavy
To be lifted by a prayer.

    No problem is too intricate
And no sorrow that we face
    Is too deep and devastating
To be softened by His grace.

    No trials and tribulations
Are beyond what we can bear
If we share them with our Father
As we talk to Him in prayer.

    And men of every color,
    Every race and every creed
Have but to seek The Father
In their deepest hour of need.

    God asks for no credentials,
He accepts us with our flaws,
    He is kind and understanding
    And He welcomes us because…

    We are His erring children
    And He loves us everyone,
    And He freely and completely
Forgives all that we have done

    Asking only if we’re ready
To follow WHERE HE LEADS -
    Content that in His wisdom
He will answer all our needs.

She is doing better, and for that, we are so very thankful!
God has showered His mercy and grace upon her and her family.
He has been with her every step of the way through this illness
known as ’aplastic anemia’, bringing comfort to her and her family,
and performing amazing miracles along the way!
We do ask that you continue to pray for this special little lady  …
as she still has a ways to go for the bone marrow transplant to be complete.
I will keep you updated on her progress!

I hope you’re all having a wonderful day … I’ll be around to more of you this week
to do some more catching up.  I’ve missed you all!  There just doesn’t seem to be
enough hours in a day to do all that I’d like to do!  Ever feel that way?!
Have a beautiful day … make the most of it … be thankful for all of God’s blessings!
He gives us so many that we really can’t even count them!
    Love & Hugs ~ Deborah <><

P.S.  I did enter the photo contest over at
    iliveinmycamera this week.
It’s been awhile since I’ve done that, and there are some beautiful
‘Sunshine’ photos over there … please, if you have a moment, or two,
go and vote for your favorite!

  • That poem is incredible . . . and so true!! What a gifted young lady Elizabeth is! I have been keeping her in my prayers. I am so thrilled that God is keeping her healthy. I had a dear friend who had aplastic anemia. She was a very godly woman; she was a Filipina who was like a sister (& nanny). She was a missionary among her own people… just a very godly, wise lady. God took her home. She was the only one I had known about (it was many years ago). I am praising God for the way He is caring for our special friend Elizabeth ~ another godly, wise lady whom God is already using in many ways. God bless you & your family, & her and her family, too. Loving prayers for you all ~ Carolyn :littlekiss:

  • It was so nice to read your comment. Thank you for stopping by. So sorry you are having computer problems. That can be so frustrating.~ Glad to hear Elizabeth is doing well. She is a miracle!

Do hope you can get out west sometime. We were concerned about the long drive also, but decided to just do it.( like Nike says) Anyway it was not a problem. We stopped  about every 2 hrs and we also took turns driving. All that beautiful and interesting scenery kept us pretty entertained. We did not drive at night, but sometimes started out just before sun up. So fun to watch the sun come up and the day start. I don’t do that at home. It is gray here most mornings. We only have 58 days of sun.:whocares:  Boise will be such a blessing for sunny days.:sunny: :) :):):):)

I  read your post on my subscription page. But from what I understand that does not show up in your footprints. I don’t know that for sure, but that is what I heard. So I have kept up with Elizibeth and in prayer for her. Thank you for keeping us all informed. Sorry I don’t get by to often either, but I do keep up on you. :heartbeat: God bless!!!

  • That is beautiful! And to think of the location of its writing. :sunny:
    Blessings,
    Kim

  • :sunny:Oh Deborah God is using that young lady in a special way her poem has touched me, and lifted me, how talented she is. Through my tears I feel God’s presence and I know that she will do just fine…may God continue to bless her and lift that precious family.

ryc: I started putting my other posts private so that folks don’t seem overwhelmed when they drop by but I guess there are more who don’t mind reading my passed posts so I will go and make them public so you can catch up. Also thanks for stopping by Bob’s site not to many have. You are a true friend…I pray your hip pain subsides very soon….HuGs….Linda:love:

  • This reminds me of a hymn we use to sing . I haven’t heard it in a long time.

Father and Friend! Thy light, Thy love,
    Beaming through all Thy works we see;
Thy glory gilds the heavens above,
And all the earth is full of Thee.

Thy voice we hear, Thy presence feel,
While Thou, too pure for mortal sight,
    Involved in clouds, invisible,
Reignest the Lord of life and light.

We know not in what hallowed part
Of the wide heavens Thy throne may be,
But this we know, that where Thou art,
Strength, wisdom, goodness dwell with Thee.

Thy children shall not faint nor fear,
    Sustained by this exalted thought;
Since Thou, their God, art everywhere,
They cannot be where Thou art not!

We cannot be where God is not! How comforting!

  • Hello…just spent some time catching up on your reports and posts and I am so glad that sweet Elizabeth seems to be doing so well and hope she continues to do so… I like her in hats…both girls are so cute!

  • :sunny:Good Morning Sweet Deborah! Of course you are all in my prayers! We are called to pray for one another as Jesus did for us!Hope that today is a day filled with many blessings of comfort. I am looking forward that today is the first day of school for Jess starting his final year of H.S.His Senior pics were finished this weekend. Can’t wait to pic them up so I can post them and see what you all think of this Crazy Young Man of mine! Ha!How fast time goes. He will be driving to school this year instead if taking the bus! We feel he has been responsible enough and being his Senior year, He might as well get comfortable with more driving. Next year we will be looking into Colleges. He wants to go to school and take Photography full time. He has an oppertunity to go to the Denver Art Institute, so we will be taking a trip and looking more into the details of it. Please keep him in your prayers I know he is anxious but scared with these major decisions as he has shared with me. Hope you have a Wonderful week and a Terrific Day! ((((((HUGS)))))) In Christ’s Love…….Monic:heartbeat::love::heartbeat::wave:

  • What an awesome poem — especially when you know the story behind the one who wrote it. What a sweet testimony of teh Lord’s grace and goodness! ~~~ I would appreciate your prayers for my sister, Elaine. She was taken to the emergency room last night with some kind of bleeding internally. They are keeping her in hospital and running lots of tests. I talked to my BIL last night, and they still don’t know much. ~~~ I have meetings all afternoon, and that plumber I have been getting dressed and doing my hair and make up for every morning  has still not materialized to fix our leaking toilet! Last night we had a very late meeting and sleeping in a bit was so tempting. I think the anticipation of a visit from the plumber is better than an alarm clock! Hope your day has some blessings and plenty to lift your heart in praise and thanks to God, dear friend.

quote and verse

Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectation.
- Andrew Murray -

God often comes to us,
not in dramatic and the spectacular,
but in quiet, unexpected ways ...
In a still, small voice,
a gentle whisper,
God makes known His love.

In quietness and trust
is your strength.
Isaiah 30:15

Pleasure, possessions, power, and privilege are ultimately worthless in comparison to the indescribable
joy of knowing GOD!!

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5,6

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye.
