    Thankful thursday

    ~ ENERGY FROM ABOVE ~

“I can do all things through Christ,
    which stengtheneth me.”
    Philippians 4:13 {KJV}

All of us have moments when we feel drained.
All of us suffer through difficult days, trying times, and perplexing periods of our lives.
Thankfully, God stands ready and willing to give us comfort and strength,
    …if we turn to Him.

Burning the candle at both ends is tempting but potentially destructive.
Instead, we should place first things first
by saying no to the things that we simply don’t have the time or energy to do.
As we establish our priorities, we should turn to God and His Holy Word for guidance.

If you’re a woman with too many demands and too few hours in which to meet them, don’t fret.
Instead, focus upon God and upon His love for you.
Then, ask Him for the wisdom to prioritize your life and the strength to fulfill your responsibilities.
God will give you the energy to do the most important things on today’s to-do list … if you ask Him.
    So … just ask Him!

    Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow;
it empties today of its strength.
    Corrie ten Boom

We are never stronger than the moment
    we admit we are weak.
    Beth Moore

Where there is much prayer, there will be much of the Spirit:
where there is much of the Spirit, there will be ever-increasing power.
    Andrew Murray

The LORD is the strength of my life.
    Psalm 27:1
    {KJV}

    Dear LORD,
Let me find my strength in You.
When I am weary, give me rest.
When I feel overwhelmed, let me look to You for my priorities.
Let Your power be my power, LORD,
and let Your way be my way, today and forever.
    ~ Amen

Here are a few photos from the Lunar Eclipse that happened
on Tuesday morning from about 4:30am to 6:00am our time!
It was a beautiful, cool, clear morning … we sat in the driveway facing west …
had the camera, with our cups of hot tea in hand …
and the sounds of the early morning crickets serenading us!
I took quite a few photos, but they didn’t all come out,
and the ones below certainly aren’t the best …
I found that out when I was told by my son that I had it on the wrong setting!  :o (
Oh well, I’m still leaning … and trying to teach myself all about this camera!
I do enjoy it though, and I’m looking forward to being able to use it to it’s full potential!
So, for anyone who missed it, here’s a little bit of what it looked like … from our point of view!!
    Have a Thankful
    Thursday … and

    Blinkie Let Your Light Shine
    Hugs,

  • ryc: This is Bernie who is sometimes confused with his famous look alike cousin Ernie who lives somewhere on Sesame Street. I adopted Bernie at a yard sale one Saturday morning. His immediate job was to travel in the car. On long trips when I rent a car, he helps me find the car by sitting in the steering wheel. You can’t miss his glowing orange face. One day he came in the house and told Bugs and Taz (from my Looney bathroom) about his life in the car. Of course they wanted to travel too. One day at Walmart, shortly after Easter, MsB was found in a basket marked 75% off. So Bernie got a little girlfriend. Little Bit and B.Bear joined the gang this year, cause it is believed the more the merrier. My sisters are a little concerned that these cotton headed critters might take up too much space during the trip. I think it will be ok, as long as we do not leave keys in the car. Some one did suggest the muppet police.  OOOO. I need to get to work.

quote and verse

Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectation.
- Andrew Murray -

God often comes to us,
not in dramatic and the spectacular,
but in quiet, unexpected ways ...
In a still, small voice,
a gentle whisper,
God makes known His love.

In quietness and trust
is your strength.
Isaiah 30:15

Pleasure, possessions, power, and privilege are ultimately worthless in comparison to the indescribable
joy of knowing GOD!!

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5,6

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye.
Psalm 32:8
