We would be still and know that You are God ….
We stand in awe of You …
    Your awesome holiness, majestic splendor,
blazing glory, limitless power, and unquestionable sovereignty.

We worship You for Your flawless character,
    Your infinite knowledge and wisdom,
Your absolute justice, unswerving faithfulness, unending mercy …
We bow our hearts and bend our knees before -
Your dazzling beauty, Your fascinating personality, Your incomprehensible humility,
Your unsearchable understanding, and Your unfathomable love.
Our greatest need is to have a far greater revelation of what You are really like.
We ask You to meet that need.

  • That is a sweet little poem up top. :)

I am glad you came by to my other site. Sometimes I wonder if I appear shallow at my photo blog since I do not really post anything of meaning there. (shrugs)

The reason for our move it to work toward a more self sufficient lifestyle. We have the land to do it on. Oh but sometimes the thought of the work involved scares me.
    Blessings,

  • Good Morning Sweet Friend! We had storms last night. At one time I thought we would lose power, the lights blinked on and off and our smoked detector in our Master bedroom went off for 5 minutes until it reset itself!…….Praise God we never did lose it. Hope you are having a Sunny, calm day! It looks sunny this Morning! Hope to start to clean some house in a little and get out in the yard and work on my Roses! Time to prune them and fertilize them!……..I am just letting my brain relax and not going to think about very much except God’s amazing love and all that I have to be thankful for. I am so grateful to be called His!…………Hope you have a Great Day! (((((Hugs)))))………….In Christ’s Love…..Monic

  • This is a beautiful passage!  Thank God for his unending love and grace to us.

I am having a lazy but busy week if that is possible!  Getting back into the swing of things is hard after a vacation.  But I’m just trying to get laundry done and clean up the house.  Also had to work out in the flower beds last night pulling weeds that had grown. It was a gorgeous evening with the sun setting behind rain clouds.  This morning is relaxing I think, with the rain showers.  One of my great-nephews is a prince in my hometown Covington’s 4th of July parade tomorrow so I think that is where we will be going!  I always love to go back there and see familiar faces and be with my sister and her kids.  Many childhood memories.  I guess that will be my blog later on!  Hope you have a great day and don’t miss your boy too badly!  What lake are you talking about?

Florida was nice, especially sitting on the beach and enjoying the waves and sand.  But I got tired of the city part of it.  I loved being with my brothers and their families.  Indiana looks fantastic now after being gone two weeks!  Hard to believe.  :)

  • I am His! It’s so wonderful to know that! That’s a wonderful story! Thanks for sharing it. ~~ How you today, my friend? We are getting ready to go grocery shopping. I don’t have much to buy since we got that wonderful blessing of meat last Saturday. The sun is shining and there is a lovely breeze. Ahhh…………   :sunny: I love it when I don’t need an umbrella.  ~~ I do hope your sump pump problems can be quickly and easily resolved. I had to chuckle at the thought of Pepto Bismol!   ~~ We did get some great pictures yesterday, and I will share some this weekend. My poor honey is so patient with me always wanting him to stop the car! There is just so much to see and so many beautiful pictures out there. ~~ I had a busy morning doing some counseling, so I haven’t spent much time on Xanga this morning at all. I just wanted to stop by and visit with you for a few minutes. ~~ I am so glad Ian’s accidentally going through a stop sign didn’t cause any hardship for himself or anyone else. Mobile phones are this generations blessing and curse! I really don’t like my cell phone and I use it as little as possible, but they seem to be an important accessory for young folks today.  Blessings on the work of your hands, Deborah!

quote and verse

Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectation.
- Andrew Murray -

God often comes to us,
not in dramatic and the spectacular,
but in quiet, unexpected ways ...
In a still, small voice,
a gentle whisper,
God makes known His love.

In quietness and trust
is your strength.
Isaiah 30:15

Pleasure, possessions, power, and privilege are ultimately worthless in comparison to the indescribable
joy of knowing GOD!!

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5,6

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye.
Psalm 32:8
