    John 15 5 I am the vine

HOW DID YOU EXPERIENCE GOD THIS WEEK?

    In a worship song?

    In an answer to prayer?

In a particular Scripture (sudden understanding or insight)?

In hunger for Him and His Word?

In grace for a spiritual discipline?

In seeing yourself as different from the world?

    In an encounter with someone?

In God bringing Scriptures to your mind throughout your day?

In your daily devotional time – anything specific?

In a change of an attitude?

In victory over an area of sin?

In seeing a shift in priorities in your heart?

In grace to obey in a certain area?

    Bar leafybar 2

Let the first act on waking be to place yourself,
your heart, mind, faculties, your whole being, in God’s hands.
Ask Him to take entire possession of you, to be the Guide of your soul,
your Life, your Wisdom, your Strength.

He wills that we seek him in all our needs,
that we may both know Him truly,
    and draw closer and closer to Him;
and in prayer we gain an invisible force
which will triumph over seemingly hopeless difficulties.

Help!! I’ve just lost all my e-mail folders and all that I had saved on Juno!  If anyone has any tips,
as to how to get them back, I’d sure love to hear them!
All my business and personal folders just disappeared when I logged on!
Has that ever happened to any of you?  It saved all my Inbox mail,
but all my other folders are all gone … and I had quite a few!!
Pray that I can get them back!

Other than that major heart stopping problem … how are you all doing?!  I hope you’ve had a good week!
Now that it’s come to a close,
here’s a quick rundown of my upcoming weekend …
Besides trying to retrieve all my folders …
Saturday, the weather is going to be nice, and hubby and I are headed to the
church garage sale, to see what we might have missed, since we weren’t able to actually be there this year,
due to hubby’s work schedule.  Maybe there’ll be some treasures left!

After that, we’re going to head south to the Heartnut Heritage Festival.  They have craft booths, reenactments,
and other demonstrations. We also may head north to make a stop at Trader’s Point Creamery, and check that out,
as well.  They also have a farmer’s market, and other booths there to stroll through.
It’s a dairy farm, and I hear there are a couple of new baby calves.  Of course, where I go, so goes the camera!
Which reminds me … I need to charge up those batteries!

Our craft shows are gearing up, and it’ll be nice walking around and just enjoying the booths at both places,
instead of having to work in one!  It gets pretty busy this time of year, and we’re enjoying the down time right now.

On Sunday, we’ll, of course, be at church, then we’ll be visiting Miss Elizabeth …
they did get moved, and are now settled in their new apartment … together again!
Thank you all, so much, for your prayers for her.  I’ll have an update when I post again.

I hope you have a great weekend, with some fun things planned.  It’s seems like it’s been a while since we’ve done
something fun like this, so we are looking forward to the day!  It’s late, so I’ll say goodnight for now …
and I’ll be back later this weekend, or on Monday, to start catching up with all of you!  Until then …

    Blessings on your weekend!

  • :heartbeat:Hey, you made it first to TOP TEN!!! Yeah!

Thanks for coming by, I have missed seeing you, but, then I haven’t been around much! ha!

We are not near the coast of Texas, thank goodness, but by the time IKE reaches us the winds will be around 40 miles per hour and MAY spur some tornadoes, so, we’re not totally out of it…

Plus the fact, that this weekend my town, Mesquite, will be hosting people from Galveston and Charlie and I plan to go help with preparations and such…

Alot of our Xanga and Heart Beat friends are in the Galveston/Houston area… Cindy and Steve (http://www.xanga.com/singingmom) is in the area and they are watching and waiting… drop by and say hello and tell them that I sent ya! ha!

Have a blessed day, me lady!

    Let’s not be strangers… hugs!

  • I like your thought provoking question; “HOW DID YOU EXPERIENCE GOD THIS WEEK?” I expereinced him in many different way. Answered prayers, the gift of a free awesome Gospel CD today, our needs miraciously met, I expereinced God through prayer, reading, the innosence of a child, encouragement of friends etc etc… I could fill a page! :)
I have juno. Did you click on the tiny little folders box at the top of the “read” page where your Inbox, Sent, Deleated, etc folders are. Sometimes when my folders disapeared I’d later find them in a folder there, labled “restored”/
Sure hope you find them!!! God bless!

  • Thanks for those thoughts…. I hope you get your folders back. I don’t know anything about Juno. I got your message, and will respond back to you when I get a chance (hopefully today). Have a blessed weekend! Sounds like you’ve got a lot going on. I don’t have much, and I have mixed feelings about that.  Blessings!  ~ Chris

  • :sunny:Good Morning Sweet Deborah! So glad Miss Elizabeth and family are doing much better!……..Continue prayers! This is a nervous weekend for me. Starting to join the Worship Team. I haven’t been on one since the “Old Church.” I have missed  it. But just have enjoying being in the focus with God and where He truly wants us to be. PR asked me before and I said, no. But this last time just the way he asked I knew he had prayed and was sincere. Not only will I be singing, he has asked me to Lead one of the three songs that he has chosen, “Potter’s Hand.” How I know God is truly molding and making me the way He intends for me to be His!
Hope you and Lew have a Wonderful weekend. I wish I could invite you to be here Sunday, too. Praying for Ian and you both. Hope you both enjoy the weather and all the feastivities!………(((((Hugs)))))…….In Christ’s love….Monic:heartbeat::love::heartbeat::wave:

  • Hello, sweet friend! I did enjoy that devotional. It is wonderful to open one’s eyes in the morning and start the day thinking about the Lord and His goodness. Oh, I do hope you find a way to retrieve those files. Computers can be a good friend, or a terrible enemy! It’s raining here in Denmark today. I am glad it was nice yesterday and I had fun with the camera. I have no plans at all for today, other than to do some cleaning and straightening. Pea Hater might go visit a few second hand stores, but I want to stay home. I did a lot of walking yesterday, so I don’t have too many miles in me until I rest more. Last night I was in bed by 9 PM! I just couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore. I slept until 8 AM! WOW! I must have been more tired than I thought! ~~ Paulaby (Pea Hater’s sister) has a nice picture of my girls on her site. Oh! I wish I could have been with them, but on Wednesday we will be hugging our baby girl! ~~ Enjoy your day together. It sounds like it will be fun. We look forward to some pictures. Hugs from Denmark–

  • Hey sweetie, glad you are going to have a great relaxing weekend. I had no plans for the weekend but tonight an old friend of mine called me up and asked me to go to a house bible study with her which was really nice. After that we went to Timmies and caught up with one anothers life. Who knows what tomorrow will look like. Maybe just a relaxing day with some study time and some time to just read a book with an enjoyable tea or refreshing smoothie.

    {{{{HUGS}}}}

  • I have mixed feelings about this weekend. I was suppose to work Saturday and Sunday night. I went to a doctor today and he says and he says I need to not go back to work till next week.

Hopefully by then the antibiotics will work and I will be able to work without coughing so much.

Hope you have a great weekend.

quote and verse

Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectation.
- Andrew Murray -

God often comes to us,
not in dramatic and the spectacular,
but in quiet, unexpected ways ...
In a still, small voice,
a gentle whisper,
God makes known His love.

In quietness and trust
is your strength.
Isaiah 30:15

Pleasure, possessions, power, and privilege are ultimately worthless in comparison to the indescribable
joy of knowing GOD!!

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5,6

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye.
