Wow … has anyone been watching, or listening to what’s been going on this week? Our hearts have been so burdened! This country is going through some extremely trying times right now … nothing like I’ve ever seen before! We so need healing and restoration here in our land today! Recently, we’ve been getting urgent e-mail from different ministries to pray for the heart of our nation … to pray for this upcoming election. It is so crucial … we know that our land is ‘sick’, and in order for healing to come, we need to humble ourselves, seek His face, turn from our wicked ways … only then will He hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and heal this great land that He has so graciously blessed us with! Revival needs to begin right here in our own hearts … we need to get back to our first Love! Here are just a few sciptures we came across in our reading … won’t you join us and pray?! Anything big enough to occupy our minds is big enough to hang a prayer on. ~ George Macdonald.
I pray you all have a blessed day in Him! <><
And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring Glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. John 14:13-14
… the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16b
Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
If My people, who are called by My name, would humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. II Chronicles 7:14
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us {our} sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
I John 1:9
TRUSTING ALL DAY LONG
~ Gail Rogers
Trusting God is easy when things are going well and we can see our way. But trusting God when the path is obscured and we cannot clearly see ahead is not so easy.
There is prayer in the Bible prayed by David in Psalm 25 verses 4 & 5. It is a prayer you and I can pray for ourselves when our way is obscured and when our focus on God tends to waver with the uncertainty of our lives.
Mark it in your Bible and make it the prayer of your heart when doubt and fear want to crowd out your faith.
“Show me your ways, O Lord … (for I am confused and my ways are not working).
“Teach me your paths … (I want to walk in the path you have for me).
“Guide me in your truth … (reveal to me areas where I am not seeing, or thinking, clearly).
“and teach me … (Lord, I am open to be corrected where I am wrong. I’m listening Lord).
“for you are my God and my Savior … (thank you for caring for me personally).
“and my hope is in you all day long.” … (I declare, in the spiritual realm, that I am trusting in You and I pray that you help me to trust you as I walk through my day.)
Thank you that You, the God of Hope, are my certainty in uncertain times. I lean on You today! In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Whenever your faith wants to waiver, read this prayer and refresh your confidence in the Lord who will lead you and guide you and teach you because He is your God and Savior and your hope all the day long! He alone is our certainty in uncertain times!
God bless you all as you place your trust in our trustworthy God … all day long!
We can ask ourselves, how do we respond in such uncertain times?
David seems so confident that God would answer his prayers … any thoughts as to why?

Amen about praying for our nation. I do know God is sovereign and this may be a wake up call for our nation. God does give many warnings and Jesus promised that before the end it would seem like birth pangs of a woman – increasing in intensity. I just pray and seek to do His will.

Hey there my long lost friend….
It has been so long, but coming back to your site, is like coming back to an old friend’s home! Your site looks beautiful, as always..you music soothing!
I’m reminded of an old song by…um…darn…it’s early…”Life is hard, but God is good!” And also, who sings, “God is God and I am not!” Is that Steven CC or Michael WS? Can’t remember…it really is too early for me to attempt to type a coherant comment.
Anyway, my DH and GS are asleep in the east wing (it’s a JOKE!) and my two evacuee friends are asleep in the west wing and all is quiet for the moment in the T. household.
I can’t even begin to have communication on the election…it’s CRAZY!! I just sit and shake my head…although as of late, the hurricane news has been on so much more than the election news. I listen to Hannity and we are down to a little over 40 days ~ I might even venture to say I will be glad when it is all over …but then again, maybe NOT!! Who knows what January might bring huh?…There is the song again…God is God and I am NOT!
Ok must get around here this morning…thanks for being so true to (God first) but to all of the folks here who love you and count on you for being here so faithfully to encourage and lift up those that need it…and who doesn’t need it nowadays!!
Blessings

I can get so overwhelmed with a lot of feelings when the talk is on the country and its current status but I am so thankful that GOD IS IN CONTROL! I pray that the leadership of our country will humble themselves and make right the wrongs as much as possible. Love, Lish:sunny:
Hello, sweet friend! Abby and Craig are here now, so I haven’t been around much. We are just busy! And tired! LOL! They leave on Wednesday, and I will be so sad. Miss you!
Deborah,
I have been keeping my eye on the news. So much tragedy with the hurricane and people losing money and so on. My heart aches for their sadness. I pray that they would take comfort in the One who never disappoints and will never abandon us.
Have a wonderful weekend, dear friend.
Gina
