    Bar Snow Village

Just wanted to drop a quick note to let you all know that I’ll be doing an antique/flea market show starting tomorrow, through Sunday, so I may not be around too much until Monday.  I’ve been busy getting ready for it this week, and we’re hoping we’ll do well.  Please say a prayer for Mom Betty … they have found some swollen spots on her arm, and are trying to figure out what may be causing it.  They’ve moved both her, and O.P. into a new apartment at the nursing home for more watchful care.  They both are needing it now, so do please keep them in your prayers.  Could you also say a prayer for my dear hubby?  His knee is now swollen, and hurting when he walks … the ankle is doing much better, but his knee … well, that’s a different story.  He told the doctor at this last visit, that something didn’t feel right in his knee, and he told him it should get better as the ankle gets better, since he was probably favoring it … well, it has gotten worse.  He called to make an appointment with the doctor, but now they said in order to look at it, they need a clearance from the workman’s comp again … so say a prayer that he’ll get the okay and they will cover this, since it was probably due to the fall.

I found out, earlier today, that my sister, and her husband, are moving away.  Right now, she lives only 3 minutes from us, but in April, they’ll be moving about 2 hours away.  I know it’s not that far, but we won’t be able to see each other as readily as what we do now!  I will miss her very much!

We had a small taste of Spring today, with temps around 42*.  It was a beautiful day filled with blue skies and sunshine, but it is supposed to get colder again this weekend, with a possibility of snow showers.  Well, this will be short … I need to get some sleep before our busy weekend starts in the morning.  I will be around soon, and also, reply to your messages … in the meantime, I pray the Lord blesses you all with a wonderful, warm, weekend!

  • :sunny: I heard spring was coming. Hope your husband is feeling better soon.

  • May the Lord heal your loved ones.  Hope your show goes well.

I had one of my knees swell up on me one time.    It was when I was younger and was working at a pet store.  One evening I was at work and going around feeding the animals.  While I was walking, I heard a snap in my knee.  Didn’t feel it and it wasn’t very loud.  After that, my knee was in horrible pain and swelled up.

For about three days my knee was swollen and hurt.  I was going to go see a doctor if it stayed that way another day.  Thankfully it didn’t.  I did put ice packs on it.

I think my knee had put itself back in place or at least God did.  I used to have a problem of it popping when I bent down a certain way and would get up a certain way.  I think it got that way when I was accidentally knocked down at school in 8th grade by some boys horsing around.   So, after the swelling, my knee quit popping and has been feeling fine ever since.:sunny:

It’s been like Spring here.  We’ve been pretty warm and thank the Lord the rain has come and it’s cooled down.  I need it to be cold.  It’s winter time still dagnabit! :giggle:

  • I pray the Lord blesses all your effort and hard work going into the sale.  Sounds fun, but also sounds like a lot of blood sweat and tears…well lol, not “that” bad, but you know what I mean.  :giggle:

Oh your dear hubbys knee…oy!  I know all about bad knees – my sweet daddy has major issues with his…oy oy oy a loooong story.  So know I shall indeed be praying about this!

Isn’t that little taste-of-spring just the sweetest?  Ach, I have visions of mulching and flower bedding, strawberries, cucumbers, tomatoes, grass clippings, lemonade and iced green tea on the deck engulfed my ferns, spider plants, geraniums…and sunshine!  LOL :goodjob:

Deborah dear, you take care and the Lord truly bless you and hubby.  I will pray for those dear folks you mentioned – will add them to my Xanga Prayer Journal.  And also ~ last but not least ~ thank you for that delightful excerpt from Joy…that is a book I need to get.  I NEED it and want it, lol!  :spinning:

Have a lovely-even-though-it’s-a-busy-one-weekend…with hugs and chai (I will make one fresh and hot just for you! :) ~Cookie:heartbeat:

I hope you will have help with the sale so that he is not lugging big boxes around! Glad you got some :sunny: I am hoping for a little of that. We have more fog and rain here. quote and verse

Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectation.
- Andrew Murray -

God often comes to us,
not in dramatic and the spectacular,
but in quiet, unexpected ways ...
In a still, small voice,
a gentle whisper,
God makes known His love.

In quietness and trust
is your strength.
Isaiah 30:15

Pleasure, possessions, power, and privilege are ultimately worthless in comparison to the indescribable
joy of knowing GOD!!

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5,6

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye.
Psalm 32:8
